Veronica graduated from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor's degree in Biology in 2010 and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2017. She graduated in 2020 with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Palm Beach Atlantic University. She is QPRT Suicide Risk Assesment and Management and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Certified. Veronica is certified as a Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise and is a Freediving Instructor with Freediving Instructors International, with more than 7 years of experience in the wellness and fitness industry. Combining her knowledge of the body and the mind, it is her passion to give others the tools to build themselves into the person they want to be. She believes the mind, body, and spirit are connected. “At times we have to relearn how to communicate and change old habits to increase connections within and with others.” She is a bilingual, fluent in Spanish, and multicultural counselor, who believes in creating a space for clients to share openly and deeply their past and current struggles. Her theoretical orientation is existential psychotherapy and is known to draw from other modalities to improve the treatment of her clients. Veronica offers integrative therapy, an individualized, holistic approach to therapy that combines ideas and techniques from different therapeutic schools of thought depending on the unique needs of a given client. She has a strong interest in working with a variety of individuals, to include children as young as 5- years old, adolescents, and adults presenting with trauma, grief and loss, sexuality and gender issues, anxiety, depression, mind and body connection, self esteem, identity issues, eating disorders, life transitions, and more. She believes in treating a person, not an illness, not symptoms, but the individual as a whole: physical, mental, emotional, sexual, and spiritual.
