Veronica is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern.
She is a bilingual and multicultural counselor, who believes in creating a safe space for clients to share openly and deeply their past and current struggles. Her theoretical orientation is existential psychotherapy and is known to draw from other modalities to improve the treatment of her clients. Veronica has a strong interest in working with a variety of individuals, to include children as young as 5 years old, adolescents, and adults presenting with trauma, grief and loss, sexuality and gender issues, anxiety/depression, mind and body connection, self esteem and identity issues, eating disorders, and life transitions.
Veronica graduated from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor's degree in Biology in 2010 and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2017. She graduated in 2020 with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Palm Beach Atlantic University. She is QPRT Suicide Risk Assesment and Management Certified and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Trained. She has passed the NCMHCE licensure exam.
Veronica is certified as a Personal Trainer through ACE Fitness, has more than 5 years of experience. Combining her knowledge of the body and the mind, it is her passion to give others the tools to build themselves into the person they want to be. She believes the mind, body, and spirit are connected and at times we have to relearn how to communicate and make those connections.
Veronica is fluent in Spanish.
