"Therapy is almost like a car ride. You are the car's driver, and as your counselor, I will be in the passenger seat of your car ride. You will be taking the lead in your journey, and ultimately, you will decide where to go, but I will be there alongside you to help guide you in determining what route to take. The car ride might be long, or it might be short.  There might be a lot of obstacles in your journey. And that's all okay. In a collaborative approach, we can work to reach your goals or "destination."

Alexa is a registered mental health counselor intern. She graduated from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2019. She earned her master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Stetson University in 2024. Alexa has experience working with individuals in residential settings with demographics including adults with anxiety, depression, personality disorders, psychotic disorders, and substance abuse.

Alexa's approach to therapy is a blend of person-centered therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. This unique combination allows her to tailor her approach to each individual's needs. Outside of her professional life, Alexa finds joy in reading, writing, and traveling.
