Dr. Alicia Poliard, LMFT, NATC, CFLE

Dr. Poliard is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a doctoral degree in Family Studies. She works with individuals, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds, supporting both personal growth and relational well-being.

In addition to her clinical licensure, she is a Certified Narcissistic Abuse Treatment Clinician and a Certified Family Life Educator. Her work with individuals emphasizes recovery from relational trauma, emotional manipulation, and unhealthy relationship patterns.  She also helps clients build healthy boundaries, strengthen self-worth, improve communication, and restore emotional stability.

Dr. Poliard also provides premarital counseling and relationship enrichment services as a certified PREPARE-ENRICH facilitator. She works with couples and families to improve communication, manage conflict, rebuild trust, and strengthen long-term relationships.

Her published research on long-term couples and bonding between foster parents and adolescents informs her evidence-based approach to supporting secure, stable, and resilient relationships. Dr. Poliard is an active member of the Association of Marriage and Family Therapy and the National Council on Family Relations.
