Alexa Cavarlez - Graduate Student Intern

Hello I am Alexa Cavarlez, currently a master’s student in clinical mental health counseling at Stetson University and a student intern at Everyone’s Counseling Center. I have worked with volunteer groups like “The Nurture Group” and “Florida Victim Service Centers and even received “Volunteer of the Year” for 2025 from both organizations.  

My approach is person-centered approach: our sessions are led by your goals and your pace, in a space where you feel heard rather than judged. I bring an open, curious lens to every patient I work with. I  welcome clients of all  backgrounds as I continue to discover which populations I’d like to specialize in going forward. I see clients under the direct supervision of Dede Elsheman M.S., LMFT,  which ensures thoughtful, high-quality care. 

Outside of work I love to read, work out, cook, and spend time with loved ones. I am currently accepting new clients for telehealth and in-person sessions.
