Ameila Crafton - Graduate Student Intern

I am a counseling student intern at Liberty University who is passionate about providing a supportive, non-judgmental space for clients to be open and themselves.  I believe therapy works best when clients feel safe, respected, and supported at their own pace.  My approach is client-centered and trauma-informed, with an emphasis on building insight, emotional awareness, and practical coping skills. I am particularly interested in helping clients navigate anxiety, life transitions, identity development, and everyday stressors. As a student intern, I am committed to ongoing learning and growth. I value collaboration and strive to meet each client where they are, honoring their strengths and lived experiences.

Outside of the therapy space, I bring a strong appreciation for adaptability, connection, and resilience. As a military spouse for over 20 years, I understand the impact of change, transitions, and the importance of finding stability during uncertain times. I enjoy cooking and trying new foods, as well as spending time in the sun—activities that help me stay grounded and present.
