Janel M. Davis is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Qualified Supervisor. She obtained her Bachelor’s in Arts Degree from Wesleyan University in 1999. She later obtained her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Southern Connecticut State University in 2018.
Janel trained and worked at the Yale Child Study Center in New Haven CT. Janel is trained in several different Evidenced Based Practices including CBT, DBT, TF-CBT, Gottman Method Couples Counseling, and SPACE. Additionally, Janel holds a dual license in Florida and Connecticut.
Janel has been a practicing therapist since 2018 however she has over twenty years’ experience in the Human Service field. Accordingly, Janel has experience working with many diverse populations. Janel is also an Ordained Christian Minister. Her clinical interests include helping individuals work through trauma, depression, anxiety, marital issues, life events, transitions, relational stress, and spiritual conflict.
Janel is also Part-Time Faculty at Southern Connecticut State University and teaches Theory I and II as part of their online Master’s program.
